Within our butt fusion machine product range, we use several types of heating plates. Different series and application requirements call for different standards in structure, materials, and temperature stability.
The green heating plate represents the highest standard within our heating plate system and is therefore supplied as standard equipment on FX series butt fusion machines only.
Since the FX series is positioned as our high-end machine range, using a higher-spec heating plate for critical components is a natural and reasonable configuration choice.
Temperature Consistency Starts at the Factory
In butt fusion welding, temperature consistency across the heating plate plays a critical role in weld quality.
To reduce uncertainty caused by temperature deviation, every green heating plate used on the FX series undergoes multi-point temperature testing after production.
Using dedicated measuring equipment, we check 12 key points across the heating plate surface. This approach focuses on overall temperature distribution rather than relying on a single measurement point. Infrared thermal images clearly show how the plate performs under operating conditions.
