However, in real operation, it is involved in almost every critical step — from facing and alignment to pressure control during welding.

With the FX series, the goal was not to refine the existing system step by step.
Instead, the hydraulic unit was rethought from the ground up.

The FX Gen 2 HPU introduces changes not only in structure, but also in control logic and operator interaction.

Control Adapted to Each Stage

On many machines, a single hydraulic control logic is applied across the entire process.
In practice, however, facing, alignment, and welding require different types of control.

With the FX Gen 2 HPU, these stages are treated separately.

During facing, the system focuses on smooth and stable feed, avoiding sudden movement or fluctuation.
During welding, pressure builds up in a more controlled and predictable way, making it easier for the operator to stop at the right point.

This is not simply a matter of fine-tuning — it reflects a different approach to process control.

Operation Closer to the Process

The Gen 2 HPU is equipped with a remote control system.
But the main change is not the remote itself — it is how the operator works with the machine.

Instead of standing by the hydraulic unit and looking back at the frame,
the operator can remain next to the machine, directly observing pipe alignment, surface condition, and bead formation while operating the controls.

This alignment between observation and control improves precision during key stages such as facing, alignment, and pressure application.

A Reorganized Structure

The FX Gen 2 HPU features a redesigned internal layout, along with an updated white-and-blue appearance.

The changes are not only visual.
The internal arrangement has been reorganized to be more compact and integrated.

Rather than a collection of separate elements, the system is structured as a more coherent unit.
In practice, this improves usability and allows the operator to work more efficiently.

A Different Way of Thinking

The Gen 2 HPU is not designed to add more functions.
Instead, it changes how the system is used:
